Bhaje Ramana Nama CD cover

Bhaje Ramana Namam

This new, 71-minute CD, produced by devotees in California, with Sangeetha Swaminathan as lead singer and composer, is a treasure chest of devotion. It begins with a moving rendition of Ganapati Muni's invocation verse that Bhagavan once recommended, followed by ten superb bhajans, and concluding with the famous 'Saranagathi' song, which is so loved by His devotees.

The companion booklet contains the transliterated lyrics – mostly from Sanskrit – and their meanings. It serves as an excellent aid to easily learn and sing all these wonderful bhajans.

[Sanskrit Hymns, recorded at Sri Ramanasramam, 1999]

Sanskrit Hymns from Sri Ramanasramam

In this CD we have selected Sanskrit compositions that either emanated from the enlightened awareness of Sri Ramana Maharshi, or those that he inspired by his undying grace. The only exception to this is the last piece, much admired and oft quoted by Sri Maharshi, the “Dakshinamurti Stotram” of Adi Shankara.

Rendered into delightful, inspiring melodies by Sri J.Jayaraman and Dr. Lingeshwara Rao, these hymns can be easily learned with the help of an attractive English transliteration book that accompanies the CD.

Tamil Hymns from Sri Ramanasramam

"Sri Arunachala Sthuthi Pancakam" (Five Hymns to Arunachala) is the poetic outpouring that gushed forth from the depths of Sri Ramana Maharshi's experience of Reality. In these hymns he proclaims his union with the Divine, Arunachala, and the path that his followers must tread to that exalted state.

In "Sri Ramana Sthuthi Pancakam" (Five Hymns to Sri Ramana), we hear the rapturous poetic verses of Sri Satyamangalam Venkataramaiar, the mysterious devotee who but once stepped into the Maharshi's presence and was forever lost in the joy of Self-awareness.

These verses remain the most popular melodious hymns sung regularly at Sri Ramanasramam today. The companion book provides an opportunity for those not familiar with the Tamil script to learn these inspired hymns.
